Using Saturday morning TV, Open Mind seeks to engage millions of viewers to actively pursue unique and custom learning opportunities to advance their lives.

The stakes were high as Open Mind planned its nationwide debut, which included unveiling first-rate educational content to TV audiences across the country.  But, in order to advertise via public service announcements on major broadcast networks, the organization needed to quickly obtain tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity status from the IRS, which requires clearly articulating the organization’s objectives and establishing governance procedures and policies.

Why Innovista

“I have known David and trusted his legal and strategic counsel for many years on a number of different projects.  When I agreed to become President of Open Mind, I knew that I wanted to collaborate with David again on this important effort. Innovista’s considerable experience working with social entrepreneurs meant they had the knowledge to ensure we were well-prepared in advance of the request to the IRS, and the contacts to help us expedite consideration so we could meet our launch deadline.”
